If you need help with setting up Shopify from the start, follow this guide step-by-step.

Otherwise you can use the quick-links below, for a guide on certain parts.

Connect your Shopify
Adding a shipper
Adding a shipping rate

1. Connect your Shopify with Webshipr

Start by creating a Webshipr account on Webshipr.com or Webshipr.dk

When logging in for the first time, you will be met with the following 4 steps:

shopify1

Click on “Create your first order system” to add your Shopify to Webshipr.

Otherwise go to “Settings” => “Add order system”.

Choose “Shopify” in the “Order system type” dropdown, followed by an URL for your webshop.

Ex. Mywebshopname.com

Fill out the informations in “Sender address”. This is the address, from where you’re shipping orders.

When everything is done and correctly filled, press “Create order system”.

Now we need to establish a connection between Webshipr and your Shopify.

You should see the following on your screen:

Type in your Shopify URL again, but remember “.myshopify.com” this time!

It should look like this: Mywebshopname.myshopify.com

Click “Verify”.

If you aren’t already logged in, you will have to do so first.

When you’re logged in, you should see this on your screen:

Click “Install App”.

Now go back to Webshipr and navigate to “Settings” => “Overview”.

You should now see the status “OK” next to your webshop.

shopify5

Congratulations! Your webshop is now set up to use Webshipr.

2. Add a shipper

Next we need to create your shipping methods.

Go back to “Get started” and click on “Create your first carrier now”.

Here you will have the opportunity to choose amongst our current integrations.

When clicking “Create now”, you will be asked to fill out the information we need from your shipper.

For the purpose of this guide, I’ve chosen YourGLS as an example.

The needed information differ from shipper to shipper.

Great! Now we’re almost there.

All we have left to do is add our shipping rates.

3. Add a shipping rate

Click on “Create your first shipping rate”.

shopify7

Depending on your chosen shipper, “Type” and “Carrier service” will vary.

If you wish to allow your customers to choose a pickup point themselves, select the following:

  1. “GLS Pakkeshop” for GLS
  2. “Enable drop points” for PostDK
  3. “Pickup point” for Bring
  4. “Droppoints” for UPS

Fill out the remaining informations, aswell as the destination countries that you wish to support.

To allow free shipping on orders over “X” amount. Go to “Detailed settings” and select “Free above”.

If you wish to show the created Webshipr rates in the Shopify checkout, aswell as to use pickup points, you’ll  need to have “Real time carrier shipping” activated in Shopify.

If you’re in doubt whether this is activated or not – check this guide: Link

Isn’t that the case, you’ll have to contact Shopify for them to activate it.

As an alternative to this, we can match rates on “price” and “country”. This means that you’ll have to create identical rates in both Shopify and Webshipr.

Please take contact to Webshipr, if this is relevant.

Amazing. Now you’re up and running and ready to ship!
