If you need help with setting up Prestashop from the start, follow this guide step-by-step.
Otherwise you can use the quick-links below, for a guide on certain parts.
1. Connect your Prestashop with Webshipper
Start by creating a Webshipper account on Webshipper.com or Webshipper.dk
When logging in for the first time, you will be met with the following 4 steps:
Click on “Create your first order system” to add your Prestashop to Webshipper.
Otherwise go to “Settings” => “Add order system”.
Start by choosing “Prestashop” in the “Order system type” dropdown, followed by an URL for your webshop.
Fill out the informations in “Sender address”. This is the address, from where you’re shipping orders.
When everything is done and correctly filled, press “Create order system”.
2. Adding a shipper
Next we need to create your shipping methods.
Click on “Create your first carrier now”.
Here you will have the opportunity to choose amongst our current integrations.
When clicking “Create now”, you will be asked to fill out the information we need from your shipper.
For the purpose of this guide, I’ve chosen YourGLS as an example.
The needed information differ from shipper to shipper.
If you’re in any doubt about the information required, feel free to contact us.
3. Add a shipping rate
Click on “Create your first shipping rate”.
Depending on the chosen shipper, “Type” and “Carrier service” will vary.
If you wish to allow your customers to choose a pickup point themselves, select the following:
- “GLS Pakkeshop” for GLS
- “Enable drop points” for PostDK
- “Pickup point” for Bring
- “Droppoints” for UPS
Fill out the remaining informations, aswell as the destination countries that you wish to support.
4. Establish a connection
Now we need to establish a connection between Webshipper and your Prestashop.
Navigate to “Settings” => “Order systems” and pick your Prestashop.
You should see the following on your screen:
Click on “Download plugin”
Log into your Prestashop and go to “Modules”.
Click on “Add new module” in the top right corner, and upload the plugin you just downloaded from Webshipper.
Click “Configure” on the webshipper module.
Copy the “API token” from your webshipper order system
and paste it into the highlighted field below:
Check your connection by clicking on “Save settings and check connection”.
All there is left to do now, is to sync your Webshipper rates in Prestashop.
Press “Sync shipping rates”.
After syncing the rates, all the shipping rates created in webshipper, should now be present in the map of rates in Prestashop.
Every shipping method in prestashop is mapped to a shipping rate id in webshipper. This is to ensure that all your orders are sent with the correct configuration in webshipper. You can see how this is mapped after syncing from the configuration in prestashop:
Shipping options with “Drop point” enabled, will automatically prompt the customer for a Drop Point upon checkout. The drop point options are automatically set upon the first sync from webshipper. Therefore you should ensure that your webshipper configuration is complete before syncing.
