In order to setup Prestashop with webshipper, follow the steps below.
#1 Add the desired carriers to your order system, and configure shipping rates.
Add the desired carrier and shipping rates under the order system. Ensure that they are configured before installing the prestashop module as all shipping rates and configurations need to be mapped to Prestashop afterwards.
#2 Download the prestashop module from the webshipper portal under your order system.
#3 Upload and install the module in Prestashop under “Modules” => “Add new module”.
#4 Click configure on the webshipper module.
#5 Insert API token from the webshipper ordersystem ( NOTICE: API token should be taken from the order system. You should not create a seperate token, as these are intended for building your own integrations ).
#6 In prestashop sync the shipping rates from webshipper by clicking “Sync shipping rates”
After syncing the rates, all the shipping rates created in webshipper, should now be present in the map of rates in Prestashop.
Every shipping method in prestashop is mapped to a shipping rate id in webshipper. This is to ensure that all your orders are sent with the correct configuration in webshipper. You can see how this is mapped after syncing from the configuration in prestashop:
Shipping options with “Drop point” enabled, will automatically prompt the customer for a Drop Point upon checkout. The drop point options are automatically set upon the first sync from webshipper. Therefore you should ensure that your webshipper configuration is complete before syncing.
#7 Ensure that your checkout configuration is OK
Please ensure that your checkout configuration is correct in the webshipper module. If your are using OneStep checkout from Peter Zelarg, you should tick only this setting. If you are using PrestaShops native OnePage checkout, you should check only this setting. If you are using the standard prestashop checkout on five-steps you should check any of them.
You should be ready to go.
