Choose which integration to use

Post Danmark can be integrated with webshipr in 2 ways. Either with Pacsoft or with a native EDI integration.

Before you choose which integration to use, please have a look at the following pros and cons.

EDI ( Recommended )

Pros

* You can print labels in Webshiprs Automated Printer client or via PDF directly in webshipr.

* You are getting a real tracking ID which can be used on Post Danmarks website

* All the most used services are integrated

* Send to all countries

Cons

* We are not allowed to offer additional insurance for parcels

* EDI does not support certain products, ie. Foods

Pacsoft

Pros

* You can use all Post Danmark Products

* Additional insurances are available

Cons

* Due to restrictions in pacsoft, it is necessary to print all labels via links to pacsoft, which is often time consuming and ineffective.
* The tracking returned to webshipr is not a “real” Post Danmark tracking number, but a link to a pacsoft tracking page. This makes it impossible for customers to track the order directly on Post Danmarks website.

* Pacsoft has a monthly cost of 49 DKK because the XML-Posting API needs to be enabled.

* Cannot be used with Webshipr Silent Printer Client because no label is returned to webshipr.

Setting it up

This tutorial assumes that you have already created your Order System ( Webshop or billing system )

EDI ( Recommended )

  • Settings => Overview => Click the order system you want to use.
  • Click “Add shipper in the upper right corner
  • Select “Post danmark EDI”
  • Here you will need to specify your 9-digits customer number from Post Danmark. If you are checking “Test mode” you can try and send orders and get test labels to see how it all works. When going to production you will need to remove the “Test mode” checkmark.NOTICE!
    Before you can start using the EDI integration we will need to transfer your MISKOS number to webshipr. Before this happens you can’t use the integration in production mode. Please contact us at support@webshipr.com in order to clarify that your customer number is ready for production.

Pacsoft

  • Settings => Overview => Click the order system you want to use.
  • Click “Add shipper in the upper right corner
  • Select “Pacsoft”
  • Here you need to type in your Pacsoft ID and your Pacsoft Password. Its the same as you use in the pacsoft interface.
  • You are now ready to use the pacsoft integration.NOTICE!
    It is required to enable XML-Posting in order to use Pacsoft integration. You can do this through your Pacsoft login or by contacting Post Danmark.
